Proof of Rabies
You must present verification from a veterinarian that your dog is up to date with his or hers inoculations for Rabies. This verification must be on paper with breed, sex, age, name, and dates of inoculation. A tag on the collar is not an acceptable substitution.
Mat Removal
The kindest method for removing matted fur is to shave it short. How short will depend on the condition of the coat. I will comb out small areas of matted fur, but I will NOT comb out a severely matted coat as it causes too much pain and stress for your dog. As the owner, YOU are responsible for the condition of your dog's coat and skin. If you desire a longer hairstyle, you will need to get the appropriate tools and spend the necessary daily time combing and brushing your dog's coat.
Safety
Safety comes first for everyone during the grooming process - people as well as pets. Please inform me prior to grooming if your dog has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. I will stop the grooming process if I feel your dog's behavior is compromising his safety or mine. *Pro-rated charges will apply.
Senior dogs & dogs with Health Problems
Grooming procedures sometimes can be stressful, especially for a senior dog or a dog with health problems, and can expose hidden medical conditions or aggravate existing ones during or after the grooming. Senior dogs and dogs with health problems have a greater chance of injury. These dogs will only be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress.
Cancellations
If you cannot keep your appointment, please call me 24 hours in advance. Failure to call in advance or failure to have your dog available for the grooming services scheduled will result in a service call charge of $25.
Returned Check Policy
Checks returned due to insufficient funds will be subject to a $35 returned check fee.
